The planning process covers seven financial planning disciplines:

The planning process entails the following:
- A complete explanation of the role of your financial planner and the planning approach used.
- An agreement between the client and planner upon a mandate and assurance that the client understands the agreement; a professional service contract is drawn up between the client and financial planner once an agreement is reached
- Gathering of information and documents
Determination of client goals
- Analysis of the data and the client’s current situation
- Plan preparation including solutions and recommendations
- Client presentation of the personal financial planning report
- Implementation of the suggested recommendations and strategies
- Monitoring and regular, periodic follow-ups
